An opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and motivated Telecoms Design Engineer specialising in Station Information and Surveillance Systems (SISS) to work for a principal railway contractor.  

As a Telecoms Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications systems, with a focus on SISS solutions for key transportation and infrastructure projects. 

Key responsibilities: 
  • Produce transmission and network designs in accordance with requirements. 
  • Attendance at meetings with clients, senior management, sub-contractors and internal project teams. 
  • To ensure delegated areas of the contract are completed to meet legislation and relevant standards. 
  • Liaise with telecoms technicians and design, install and test staff, and additional collaboration with signalling design and installation teams. 
Essential requirements: 
  • Significant experience in managing network architectures and deployment. 
  • Rail Telecoms design experience. 
  • Proficiency in SISS technologies, CCTV systems, networking protocols, and telecommunications infrastructure. 
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
