Job title: Telecoms Project Engineer Ops Comms CRE
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Telecoms Project Engineer with expertise in Operations Communications (Ops Comms) for the role of Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) for Communications and Control Systems. The individual will be responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of telecommunications projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions in line with project specifications and industry standards.
To be considered for the role, you will need demonstrable experience in operational telecoms, and have a strong understanding of signal post telephones (SPT), PETS, GSM-R, level crossings and fixed telecoms network (FTN/FTN-X).
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee all telecoms projects, from inception to completion, within set deadlines.
- To manage all telecoms work delivered by your team.
- Review and deliver telecoms schemes with clear timescales.
- Oversee the full delivery of Operational Telecoms upgrade schemes.
Essential Requirements:
- COSS
- PTS
- Experience leading the delivery of telecoms schemes.
- High knowledge of telecoms rail systems
- Rail telecoms experience
